At Busamed Hillcrest Private Hospital we recognise the value of interaction with family and loved ones on the healing process. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, visiting hours are subject to change. Please refer to our latest visiting hours.

Notices and times

Busamed Visiting Hours Policy:

In line with the current conditions, we have reviewed our visiting policy and have implemented the following visiting hours. In order to ensure the safety of your loved one, other patients, staff and yourself we request that the following guidelines are followed:

  • All visitors are required to wear a mask covering their nose and mouth and must comply to hand hygiene protocols
  • All visitors are to maintain social distancing (2m) from the patient that is being visited and with all other interactions whilst in the hospital.
  • Visiting will be allowed as follows but may be subject to review depending on COVID prevalence:

General Ward Visiting Hours are between:

15:00 to 16:00

  • Patients will be allowed to have one (1) visitors per patient per day.

EC

  • For all children seen in the EC one (1) parent will be accommodated
  • The staff will assist in facilitating a visit for all patients by one (1) visitor, this may be limited or refused if the patient numbers in the unit are such that physical distancing cannot be maintained or supervised

ICU/HCU

Visiting Hours are between:

  • 15:00 to 16:00

No children below the age of 16 are allowed in the ICU or High Care.

Paediatrics

  • The Paediatric ward follows the general visiting times as per above.

No children below the age of 16 are allowed in the paediatric ward.

Maternity and Neonatal ICU

Visiting Hours are between:

15:00 to 16:00

  • Fathers will be allowed in Mat / NICU as discussed with the treating doctor
  • Viewing of babies will be done during visiting hours for grandparents only

No children below the age of 16 are allowed in the Maternity or Neonatal ICU.

Important Information For All Visitors

  • Any visitor who fails to adhere to the Busamed guidelines, is abusive or aggressive to staff will be required to leave and will not be allowed to visit again
  • Busamed reserves the right to change the Visiting Policy at any time
