Busamed Harrismith Private Hospital proudly announces ACLS trained staff

Statistics show that in an emergency situation, patient survival increases by 38% when nurses are trained in Advanced Cardiac Life Support or ACLS. This is why we are proud to announce the ACLS certification attained by our Registered Nurses to aid in emergency intervention when a patient needs it most.

ACLS is a technical certification and requires knowledge and experience from the clinician and other healthcare workers to deliver critical patient care.

The certifications entrusts our Registered Nurses with the ability to successfully lead and support a resuscitation team, successfully manage a patient’s airway, recognise and manage cardiac and respiratory arrests with reasonable immediacy. The nurses are also equipped with the knowledge and ability to act quickly and accurately, making calculated decisions and ensuring that they deliver the best possible cardiac solutions that are vital to the patient’s survival.
