At Busamed Bram Fischer Private Hospital we recognise the value of interaction with family and loved ones on the healing process. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, visiting hours are subject to change. Please refer to our latest visiting hours.

Notices and times

Updated visitor hours’ notice:

In line with the current conditions, we have reviewed our visiting policy and have implemented limited visiting. However, in order to ensure the safety of your loved one, other patients, staff and yourself we request that the following guidelines are followed:

Between 15:00 – 16:00– patients will be limited to two (2) visitor per day. Only 1 (one) visitor will be allowed to enter at a time.

  • Visitors may only visit one (1) patient in the hospital and may not visit other patients or walk around the hospital
  • Visitors must be 12 years and older, except in exceptional circumstances that is approved by Hospital Management
  • For critical and end of life patients, family visitation will be facilitated
  • Visiting will not be permitted in the wards where patients with suspected or confirmed COVID-19 are being cared for, except where arrangements are made for end-of-life visitation
  • Prior to entering the hospital all visitors must undergo COVID-19 screening, PPE is to be maintained (masks are to be worn at all times and must cover nose and mouth) and compliance to hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette
  • All visitors are to maintain social distance (2m) from the patient that is being visited and with all other interactions whilst in the hospital


  • For all children and elderly patients seen in the EC one (1) parent/guardian/carer will be accommodated


Between 16:00 – 17:00– patients will be limited to two (2) visitor per day. Only 1 (one) visitor will be allowed to enter at a time.

  • The staff will facilitate the visit between the given time period, this may be limited or refused depending on the nursing activities at the patients’ bed around the given time slot

Important Information For All Visitors

  • Any visitor who fails to adhere to the Busamed guidelines, is abusive or aggressive to staff will be required to leave and will not be allowed to visit again
  • Any visitor who is showing any signs of illness will be asked to leave
  • A visitor register will be maintained for every patient in the clinical area visited
  • All visitors must record the correct information in the visitors register when entering the clinical area
  • Busamed reserves the right to change the Visiting Policy at any time
