Pre-admissions

We encourage you to take advantage of our pre-admission process prior to your admission with us. Our friendly reception staff are available to help you complete the pre-admission forms and to prepare for your admission.

What is preadmissions

If you are a medical aid patient, it is very important for you to get authorisation for your procedure before you book into the Hospital. The reception staff are available to assist you with this task. Although the Hospital cannot obtain the authorisation number for you, staff will help you to contact your medical aid and ensure that you have all the necessary information needed to facilitate the process.
Your medical aid will also provide you with information about any short payments,
co-payments or limits you may have in relation to your procedure. Please record this
information and feel free to discuss this with the reception staff.

Preadmission requirements:

  • Original Medical Aid Card or
  • Membership Certificate
  • Identity Document of Patient and Main Member
  • Authorisation Number
  • Name of Referring Doctor or Medical Professional
